Celebrate Arbor Day
4th Annual Arbor Day Tree Planting will take place on April 27, 2008 at 9 am. Meet at the Leetsville ORV staging area on County Road 612, approximately two miles east of M 72 in Kalkaska. Sponsored by the AMA Distric 14 in conjunction with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. Treasury information
The Department of Treasury has posted information on the extension of Michigan’s Use Tax to select services and the increase in the state’s individual income tax rate on its web site at www.michigan.gov/taxes. The information regarding the Use Tax includes a list of services that will be subject to the tax effective Dec. 1, 2007. It also includes updated information on the income tax rate that took effect Oct. 1, 2007.
